Lung cancer refers to a malignant tumor in the lungs, categorized as primary when originating within the lung tissue or metastatic when spreading to the lungs from cancers developed in other organs, such as breast cancer.

Lung Cancer Risk Factors
  1. 흡연,간접흡연

    02 Occupational Exposure

Prolonged workplace exposure to hazardous industrial materials like asbestos, nickel, and aluminum production significantly increases lung cancer risks.

  3. 방사성 물질
    03 Radioactive Substances

Exposure to radioisotopes like uranium is heavily linked to small cell lung cancer, showing a starkly increased incidence rate particularly among smokers.

  4. 방사성 물질
    04 Environmental Factors

Long-term high exposure to outdoor air pollution and diesel exhaust containing heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) raises risks.

  5. 방사성 물질
    05 Genetic Predisposition

The vast majority of lung cancers develop from acquired genetic mutations over time, while inherited genetic abnormalities remain exceptionally rare.
